ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP):Federal Minister for Ka
shmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and State & Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Engineer Amir Muqam on Thursday presided the meeting and reviewed the preparations regarding October 27 Ka
shmir Black Day.
In a statement, the minister said that Pakistanis had already given a clear message to the world that Kashmiri people were residing in their hearts.
He categorically stated that India had oppressively occupied Kashmir, which had been rejected by the Kashmiris. He emphasized that an all-parties conference should be called on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Ka
shmir (IIOJK) to pressurize India to impede its barbarism and genocide on innocent Kashmiris.
Amir Muqam said that Pakistan would con
tinue its unwavering support to its Kashmiri brothers and sisters, adding that it was our national duty to remain Ka
shmir issue alive till independence.
“Pakistan would con
tinue to provide political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri brothers until they achieve the right of self-determination according to the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), he
said.
Federal Ministries, Gilgit-Baltistan and the representatives of Azad Jammu and Ka
shmir (AJK) governments briefed the minister regarding the preparations and arrangements for Ka
shmir Black Day.
Convener of All-Party Hurriyat Conference, Ghulam Muhammad Safi said the expression of solidarity with the Kashmiris was commendable.
He lauded the role of present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, who always highlighted the Ka
shmir issue at all international forums.
All-party Hurriyat Conference representatives would actively participate in Ka
shmir Black Day’s rallies across the country and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Safi concluded.
